Everything is cheap,in general, except coffee!

there is an arabian restaurant almost in each city in china called "Alf lailah we lailah" .... its very nice =)
grilled and Lebanese food ..... you need to try it =D

Yea, everything is cheap, but watch out buying the black market stuff like North Face jackets, Polo Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger shirts, etc. U.S. Customs is always on the lookout for that stuff is coming back through the states.

If you go to shanghai, there is a huge shopping mall there near the PEARL TOWER (this is a very popular site for tourists) once you enter the mall, they have a customer service there that gives brochures and maps on where to go. Don't take a taxi if you don't know exactly where to go. Better visit a pub and get to know foreigners, they would be willing to help you.
