OK, for non-Scots that means Highland Cows! There were a field full of the big beasts on my drive to and from work, and I'd been admiring them from the car for a couple of weeks. They really are big gentle animals, they just look so fierce because they have huge horns! So one fine day I stopped the car in a layover beside the field and got a few photos. I can't get past how big the eyelashes are!

A day before I was completly ill. Today morning I had to decide: to fly or not to fly? I felt much much better so of course: positive - Scotland is calling! ;) I wasnt travelling alone that day. After travelling through out Sweden the previous winter I went back for another 3 weeks and also 3 weeks in Germany to for Christmas and New Year.

My first solo travel outside the UK and first time in Sweden. I spend 3 weeks in December 2004 travelling Sweden on an Inter-Rail pass and staying youth hostels along the way.
