Presidential Palace Hanoi Jul 12, 2013
Presidential Palace in Hanoi is a three storey structure located on the north of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

The building is enclosed by gardens and orchard. There are gates of wrought iron at the entry of the palace and entrance fee for foreigner and x-ray before enter the Palace.

It was built between 1900 and 1906 to house the French Governor-General of Indochina.

It has a special typical French structure and architecture.

In 1954, the Vietnamese Government took over this Palace to house the President .

The tradition continues even now as the palace offers site for official receptions to guests and for other administrative meetings.

It is easy to get here, just take taxi and tell the driver you want to go to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum as it is next to it and cost very cheap.
