Premier Travel Inn Heathrow M4/J4 London - Reviews - London

With prices starting at only £45 (roughly $90 USD) for a single person per night, the Premier Inn M4/J4 is a considerable bargain. They even advertise that kids stay free.

It is located on a few miles from Heathrow and transportation is available from Heathrow's Terminal 4 by catching the Hoppa H8 bus. This is not a hotel with a number of frills, but for basic sleep/eat options it covers all the bases.

My room was very clean and compact. Standard ammenities include a hairdryer and tea/coffee options.

The en-suite bathroom facilities featured both a tub and shower, which from my past experiences can be a rarity in Europe at comparable budget lodging. The room was very quiet and seemed to be relatively well insulated for noise issues. The fact that it is a bit further away from Heathrow than other properties also helps with the noise level. The freeway out my window was minimized to a nearly silent growl with the window shut.

If I had to find faults (and these would be minimal) I could only find a couple things to comment on. One, the TV is rather small, approximately 13". But when you're basically there to sleep that's really not a big deal. My bigger complaint would be that the breakfast is offered for £7.50, or approximately $15USD. However, I can't even be too hard on that as it is a completely English breakfast - certainly more than would be a continental breakfast at many comparable US chain hotels. And since I was leaving in the morning and planned on having breakfast in-flight, I passed on the breakfast and saved the bucks, so again - this really wasn't a big deal.

Last, while they advertise Wi-Fi availability, it is not complimentary. Arguably a bit of a downer for business travelers, but as I was on holiday and didn't have a laptop with me, I didn't care!

Note that all Hoppa busses cost £4 one way, £8 r/t (or approximately $16USD).
