This is one of the last remaining "sod house' prairie homesteads. It has been maintained pretty much as it was a hundred and fifty years ago. The sod home, underground pantry, outhouse (with a talking mannequin inside!) barn and garage, all give an educational insite into prairie life in the 1800's. Located just a few miles before the entrance to Badlands National Park, it is also home to the only white prairie dog colony, all descendants from a single white prairie dog! They also have chickens, baby ducks, and an antique carriage and rusted old model T ford to look at, as well as an assortment of antique farm tools. Even some old steer skulls dot the landscape! Well worth the $5 to get in, they have a gift shop up front as well
