- Directions: All locals are friendly and approachable...Alter do Chao is that kind of place. If not head up the hill from the plaza for 2 blocks and on your right you´ll spot the multi coloured stripey gates - enjoy!!!

Now this is the place to stay in Alter do Chao.
Once you´re here the only stressful part of your stay will be realising you didn´t bring enough cash for an extra week (there´re no cash machines here in Alter do Chao)! The Pousada consists of 6 chalet style rooms with TV, air-con, private bathroom, fridge and a magnitude of different places to choose for your hammocks...we opted for beds in the room and hammocks on the porch to relax after the buffet breakfast with a book!!! The breakfast is included and is all-you-can-eat cake, bread rolls, jam, fruit juice, sliced fruits, coffee, and eggs. The price per chalet, with sleeping space for 4 is 60 Brazilian Reais/30 dollars/15 pounds. |
