Pousada Dona Zila

We were staying in the Pousada (guesthouse)in the beginning of our vacation) and at the end of our vacation, when we came back from the Amazon jungle.The minus was that they did not have any heating in the room and we were freezing after coming back from the jungle, where it was 35 degrees,in Sao Paulo 11 degrees, so we were sleeping with several layers of clothes on. It is located close to Jardim Paulista in a quiet street, a short walk from Avenida Paulista and the main shopping streets/areas of Jardim Paulista. The staff was very friendly, but spoke very little English. In Brazil, however you can manage with Spanish:)The breakfast was excellent, homemade marmelade, pancakes etc.I can highly recommend this cosy guest house. But notice that you will have to carry your suitcases yourself, so dont book on the second floor:):)
