Pousada Bosque dos Aruas Salvaterra Reviews
Beach views!! Jun 30, 2009
This is the pousada which is in the S/A Lonely Planet - its a good choice, although the people do not speak as much English as the book makes out! Its a nice little set up - they have wooden cabins, which are all private rooms (no dorms) and the prices start at R$60 for one person, R$80 for a double room. I managed to bargain them down to R$50 as it was empty the day I went.
THe rooms have air-con and ensuite and are literally a few metres from the coast, so you have great views. The food at the pousada is excellent - a decent choice and the locals come to eat there as well, which tells you something!
The only thing I would say is that I was disappointed they didn't make more effort to show me things to do - I did try and ask what I should do while I was there in Salvaterra, but it got lost in translation somewhere! They didnt seem to have any information around.
