Potokaki is a long pebble and sandy beach west of Pythagorio at the south part of Samos. Potokaki used to be a traditional village with many wine-presses producing wine and 'Souma'. In Potokaki, there was also a small industry making white and green soap.
The village used to be a haven during the times of Polykrates and the Principality. Nowadays, it is a wonderful tourist-resort.
Potokaki, not only is a charming village but also has the longest beach in the Aegean as it spreads between Pythagorion and Heraion. The sunset in Potokaki is magical and, when if the weather is good and clear, you can see the shores of Agathonisi.
