Good Vibes - Great Sandwiches Aug 12, 2015
Having its origins in Chigago, Illinois, the original store (established in 1977) was purchased by an entrepreneur named Bryant Kiel. From that time Potbelly has spread out as a chain and now has more than 300 restaurants around the USA. The are more than 20 Potbelly Sandwich Shops in DC alone, the locations of which can be found on their website. The interior has a vintage American decor that seems a mixture of malt shop, lunch counter, general store and curio shop. There is a signature potbelly stove, of course, as well as various furnishings and wall hangings with a retro vibe.

The made-to-order sandwiches come in flats, originals or bigs with regular or multigrain bread. Extra toppings are included in the sandwich price. The sandwiches are warm, toasty and delicious. Various soups and salads can be ordered here too. They also have quite an interesting lineup of shakes and malts (classics and real fruit) that looked worth trying. What more can I say, other than what the shop says itself: Good Vives - Great Sandwiches!
