Swapping postcards is just so addicting. Aug 10, 2010
Many of you probably already heard about postcrossing.
For those who haven't: it's the largest postcard swapping (no e-cards, but oldschool paper postcards) project of this time.
The idea is simple, send a postcard, don't forget your unique code on it, and get it to the mailbox. As soon as your card arrives teh receiver will register your card with this code. Only then your address is released to someone who will now send you a card.
Everyone has a little profile where you can write something about yourself, and your preferences when it comes to postcards. You can also message other members for a private swap for example. These won't show up in your stats though.
When you start you can only have 5 cards travelling at the same time, this number increases when you sent more cards. For example I both sent and recieved about 300 now and can have 14 on their way at this moment.
The costs ofcourse depend on how many cards you send, there's no max or minimum, but the more you send, the more you get. Joining the website is free.
