Post Landgasthof Bichlbach Reviews
Value for money Jan 12, 2011
Suppose you are from let's say Holland, Belgium or Germany and you want to go out for some serious sking or snowboarding. Unlike most other tourists you're not really into clubbing nor do you want to spend much time on travelling.
In that case Post is a great option since it's located in Bichlbach (AUT), near the German border. A place with less than zero things to do besides renting your gear at the local sportshop and catching the free bus to Lermoos, Ehrwald or the Zugpiste.
Post is owned by the family Klotz. The restaurant serves simple but fairly oke dishes including the local stuff like schnitzels and fried mountainlake trout. Home made schnaps is good, draught is slow, breakfast is fine (cheese, meats, yoghurt, cerealsl, marmelades, eggs) and the ambiance is... well, let's say folkloristic: wooden panels, stuffed grouses, silk flowers, mountain goats heads hanging on the wall, wooden panels and wooden panels.
Rooms are clean and equiped with soft comfortable beds but rather small. TV's are up to replacement. Bathrooms are midget-sized. Nevertheless, if you don't mind the lack of entertainment Post is really good value for money. In January 2011 I payed only 29 euro (pp/pn/including breakfast). Not bad at all.
