Positano - 'Dream Place that isn't Quite Real'   John Steinbeck (excerpts from Harper’s Bazaar, May 1953)   Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone. Its houses climb a hill so stee…

Positano was amazing - it is like Cinque Terre, but the cliffs are even more dramatic and the town is bigger. The hostel we stayed at was ideally situated. There was a large balcony overlooking the town and ocean, where everyone would go to chat, mingle, and enjoy the view. There were thunderst…

Honeymoon 2006: Positano Travel Photos

For our honeymoon my wife Anna, and I went to Thailand, Italy, Germany, Amsterdam, France, UK and Iceland! It was an amazing trip, my first to Europe, between October and November 2006. Anna was around 4 months pregnant with our first son, Jake, so she wasn't able to drink so our dream of drinking red wine in Paris through the night had to be postponed for another trip. Iceland had always been a dream destination for me for as long back as I can remember and I finally made it there!
