Positano Coast Philadelphia Reviews
Amalfi without the plane ride Jul 05, 2010
We had a lovely dinner at Positano Coast on 2nd st in Old City Philadelphia. We love to go places that make you feel like you're on vacation even when you're not. Positano coast is on of those places. Its on the second floor, The decor is all white and blue with floor to ceiling windows, white leather couches, hanging lanterns, sheer billowy white curtains, and beautiful tile work. It really feels like you're on the Amalfi coast! They have indoor and outdoor dinning.
The food is Mediterranean, small plates style, with a focus on seafood.
We had grilled octopus, with grilled artichoke and grilled lemons, Delicious! ($12)(but the portion was a little small)
Mushroom and asparagus risotto, that was creamy and decadent ($8), and Grilled smoked salmon with lemoncello sauce and fresh broccoli, very fresh and flavorful ($17)
They have a large wine list, and some beers, and liquors. We enjoyed the house white wine quartino, and some Alagash White beer.
Beautiful surroundings and great food.
