This locally-run hotel is #1 in service, cleanliness and everything good. Tasty, delicious food. If you are in Central America for any amount of time and feel like you need a break from roughing it, or just want to not only see, but experience, something beautiful, please come to this hotel located on the shore of the Laguna de Apoyo. They have a great, multi-tiered deck, wooden swings that dangle above the shore. You can leave your toes in the water. You can dive off the deck into the deep waters of the lake, kayak, swim. This is my favorite place to be in the whole world, and I am going there once again in 5 days! I cannot wait.

Hotel cabanas are $50/room/2 people. Once I had three people in a room and paid a little more for that. The rooms have AC, TV, fantastic ammeneties, such as mini fridges, great beds, etc... all the quality of a US hotel.
