Here is my travel blog for the Algarve, Portugal.
Me and my boyfriend spent a week staying in the Mirochorro Apartments in lovely Praia Da Rocha, and we also visited Porto Mao & Lagos. Please check out my reviews and photographs and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
We also visited Zoomarine, where I did the Dolphin Interaction Programme and swam with a dolphin which was amazing, and we went to the Fiesa sand sculptures & Slide & Splash waterpark. I recommend ...

Lisbon is Portugal's economic, political, and cultural capital. It is located near the mouth of the Tagus River, bordering the Atlantic Ocean. The interesting thing about Lisbon is that many of the monuments are located on the shores of the Tagus, or nearby. From where the ship docked, I could see the PadrĂ£o dos Descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoveries). This great structure is located right next to the Tagus, and resembles a giant caravel with many statues of famous Portuguese explorers. ...

ooohkay.. again, going back a few days..
the 25th.Private tour to the westernmost point of Continental Europe (Cabo da Roca), folloed by the Basilica of Mafra and Sintra Village, which was lovely. We went to the palace there which is a mix of moorish and islamic design. We then went to a small fishing village called Cascais on teh Pacific Coast: whitewashed buildings with aquamarine blue 'trimmings'.. soooo gorgeous!! It's pretty much exactly what I imagined Portugal to be like. So much lov...

Once again we stay at the
fabulous Le Meridien Hotel. We will be their guests for three nights.
And they sure know how to treat their guests. At check-in, we get
upgraded to a city view room, with views over the park and Lisbon. We
were missing a house coat and some slippers, one quick phone call to
house keeping and within 10 minutes all is solved. We picked up a car again at the
airport. The parking costs at the hotel are 15 Euro a day, but in front
of the hotel parking is free betwe...

I've been wandering for almost four weeks now without stepping foot on a single "new" country! It's about time!
Portugal.
Imediately I wanted to discover: how is Portugal distinct from Spain? Language, obviously. But I'm looking for something deeper than that
Architecturally they're similar, although old Portuguese cities use a lot more yellow, and for some reason like to use tiles on their exterior walls. The food at the back alley homestyle restaurants is a lot mo...

Actually, Mercedes arrived around noon and found our hostel and then went to the beach to wait for my arrival. I arrived around 22 o`clock and took a metro, Mercedes was waiting for me at the metro station. It was really great to see her! We only meet once a year....
The Black and White hostel in Porto was not so black and white:) and the room of 8 where we were supposed to be, was instead the room of 10! And the staff was not friendly at all... We changed and went out to eat and drink near ...

Today we visited the town square in Lisbon. There were cute little shops, but nothing that caught my eye too much. We did however take a ride in an elevator to the top floor (seventh floor) of a tower from which you can see across most of Lisbon. It was beautiful. I didnt get too many pictures though because it was a bit windy and we were so high up that I was a bit afraid of losing my camera in a strong gust of wind. The group I was in somehow go separated from ...

A beautifull place to see is Cabo de Sao Vincente, Algarve, Portugal.
In the middle ages it was called "The end of the world".
You've got a beautifull view over the sea. I have to say, i felt very little seeing this great view and knowing a lot of people stood there before me ages and ages ago.
