Portree is about 30 miles from the entrance of Skye. It is the biggest village of the Island so maybe we can call it a city! Well, as there is more than one street (for a change !), it might as well be one. It is pleasant to go around Somerled Square and do some shopping (s…

A delightful road trip through the land of kilts, haggis, bad weather, golf, whiskey and unsubstantiated lake monsters....
Travelled in a circle up the east coast, across to the north west and down the west coast before returning through the middle.
A wonderful country with some terrific scenery.
Weird people with funny accents, and as long as you only want to eat fish & chips you'll be fine!
