The Portland Square Hotel is a reasonably price, basic Hotel in a fantastic locations. Only 500 metres from Times Square and right in the heart of Broadway in New York City this hotel is an ideal ulternative to a Hostel.
Rooms vary in size and price. I stayed in a Single room with shared bathroom (not that I saw anyone else using the bathroom and there is one on each floor. My room was small and basic, but had TV and airconditioning and was very clean and serviced each day. The price and the location are the best part of this hotel with my room costing only AUD$137 per night during the peak of summer. Would highly recommend, especially for the lone traveller.
