Our first excursion, we went to Port Louis in the morning and continued in the North. Port louis get a lot of clothes shop, a market with a lot of spices and clothes.... The north coast get beautiful beach but there are too much hotel, it's a bit too touristic for me...

Burnt and hobbling we couldnt sit at the beach and anyhow the weather is changing ... did I mention we now had a Cyclone heading in our direction! Great! Had a day trip - hired a taxi for the day - not expensive - had a nice tour - good advice - never eat warm Lychee - bought some on the market - …

During the racing season in Mauritius, Champ De Mars is the best place to be on a Saturday afternoon. this place is alive with sound, color, hustle, bustle and an atmosphere that will bring you out in goosebumps.

After being in the developing world, mauritius was a sight for sore eyes and the beginning of a new phase of my trip. I came and went via mauritius as a hub for travelling elsewhere, my first passage out of mauritius I organised on my first day in port louis, I pre-booked all my flights in the area…

Over the past couple of years I have travelled a lot and I have taken many pictures from all over the world. As I do not have time to write blogs I decided to post a selected range of pictures here. up-date will be done not regurarly but from time to time. Please note some pictures have not the best quality as older (1997 - 2000)ones are basically scanned negatives. Should I mixed up any place or so please let me know. An amazing trip away to the country my borfriend was born.

Been there for 3 weeks in 1997 and again 3 weeks in 2004..... This was the most relaxed trip I EVER took!!!!!

A trip to Mauritius to get married!

Mauritius is where my mum is from, I never lived there but it was really great to go back there (old enough to remember). I visited my family there and had a taste of the culture, and had a chance to practice my creole and show off my hip shaking moves as we all went out to dance some sega. The landscape was amazing like nbo where else, a volcanic island with so many different cultures living there, the diversity was really cool to see.
