Poquito Mas
Poquito Mas Reviews
Mar 17, 2007
I've probably eaten here at least 50 times since moving back down to LA, so a review is long overdue. Poquito Mas is a small, Los Angeles based Mexican food chain that serves fresh, delicious, and relatively cheap food.
If you are a first-timer here, you should definitely order the steak tostada. Unlike typical tostadas, which are served on flat tortillas, this gigantic beast is served in a deep fried tortilla bowl. The inside of the bowl has generous helpings of beans, lettuce, marinated steak and is topped with guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. The biggest challenge with eating one of these is to stop yourself before you eat too much, because it is far too large for most mortals to consume. Other favorites here are the carnitas burrito, which is served in a warm, fresh tortilla. If you are in the area and you need a quick, cheap fix without sacrificing freshness or quality, come here. |
