Pops for Champagne

I stopped into Pops for Champagne after randomly walking by the storefront. I love champagne and you rarely see entire sites dedicated to it. It was late afternoon, about 4 PM, so the place was pretty empty- one other table.

I did check out their champagne list, it was extensive and varied with many options available by the glass or bottle. I had a glass of Prosecco, which was wonderful and a Stella Artois after that, champagne is an expensive habit!

I didn't try any food because I was going to Flatwater later that evening but the tasting menus looked quite interesting and included cheeses, oysters, caviars, and hot and cold appetizers.

Thursday thru Sunday the restaurant is also a jazz club with a separate room located upstairs. I believe the owner said it was a $20 cover with the exception of Sunday.

I will definitely stop by when I am in Chicago again and I will come later in the evening to enjoy some jazz and food as well.
