Popoyo is awesome! Getting there is an adventure itself. About an hour on paved roads and two hours on muddy rutted, insane river crossings, and 4x4 driving. Jumpin on the bus in San Juan headed for Rivas, we managed to jump on the bus taking the long way around.... turning a 45 min journey into a 2hr+ mission thru the coastal backroads...but we did enjoy the ride.... as per usual....Back in rivas, we faced the usual army of locals all trying to offer you a ride in their cab (or their mates), to whichever destination you desire....
