Popo's Cantina the dive that keeps on giving! Apr 29, 2008
Popo's Cantina is one of those restaraunts that when you take people to it they hesitate before they get out of the car. They look aorund the neighborhood and then down the beat up strip mall it resides in at the topless bar, burned out building and liquor store and quickly decide that Taco Bell sounds really good. All I can say is force them and for that matter yourself inside for a pleasant suprise.

As you enter the building the smell of delicious food wafts through the air, the smoke clouds the room as a fresh plate of fajitas comes from the back, and then the friendly staff seats you. Most of the employees have been there for years and some are part of the family who have owned Popo's since 1964.

Sometimes nothing can soothe your soul like a heaping plate of Mexican food. Not just any Mexican food, we’re talking about the "be-careful-the-plate-is-hot" kind of Mexican food! Popo's Fiesta Del Sol is just that!

Popo's Fiesta Del Sol has been serving the best in authentic Mexican food for many years. Started by Betty Salazar and her sons, we are still family owned and operated. Popo's has been a treasured tradition in the West Valley since 1964.

My final piece of info regarding Popo's:
99¢ Margarita Night (with purchase of an entrée)
Tuesday 4:00pm - 10:00pm
