Pontivy is right in the middle of Brittany, on the river Blavet and the canal Nantes-Brest. The name of this town changed during history, it had been called Napoléonville. There is a place in the town centre with a statue dedicated to Napoléon.We did not really take time to visit Pontivy, although the walk from my father’s house to the town centre via the Blavet is quite pretty, the castle (Château des Royans) is nice with the canal...
