Medieval wonder! Apr 29, 2011
The Ponte delle Torri is a wonderful bridge in Spoleto that was probably constructed around the thirteenth century, most likely over the remains on an old Roman aqueduct. The bridge is over 200 metres long and affords some great views of Spoleto. Just off the bridge, the greenery and scenic roads are worth exploring and you can easily spend up to half a day around the area. This really is a great feat of medieval engineering and the fact that its still intact and in full working order is impressive. If you are in Spoleto, and want to see some great views, see nature and don’t mind a little trekking, this is the place for you!
