The old bridge as a few legends attached. Some say it was built by the devil! maybe because of the place it crosses!!!

but it is best know for the fertility mysticism... in the old days, people believed, that if a woman don't give birth after 18 months of marriage (that was a big problem some decades ago) she and her husband and other family should go there at night and wait for the first person who happens to be passing by... he shell be the child's godfather, and they should perform the child's baptism right there for the un-born or un-created child ... this would make the woman give birth!!! the child should be named Gervás if it's a boy, or Senhorinha if it's a girl!!!

well i also made a little video with my pics of this place, and added a Portuguese song that tales this legend into someones live...

it's in Portuguese but the music is nice too :-)
