people. So no bomb dropped, she was into
it.
Then, we boarded the bus on to Pondicherry. It was a commuter buss, packed with people,
but we got the seat in the back.

After the totally depressing Chennai and the suprisingly disappointing Mamallapuram we allowed our optimism to build up our hopes for Pondicherry. The bus journey from Mamallapuram was relatively uneventful, the usual rickety decrepid bus, crazy driver sounding the ultra loud horn every few seconds and stares from Indians along the way. Arriving it was searingly hot and after the usual attempts by the autorickshaw drivers to rob us we negotiated down to a reasonable price and headed for our c…

i've finally managed to escape the oh-so-fascinating world of hedge fund finance, and am now decadently indulging my long-suppressed wanderlust with 15 months on the road and around the world... *note: apart from the odd review (generally of something not found in your standard guide book), this is really more just a map of my travels than a proper blog, but if you want more information on anywhere i`ve been or what i`ve been up to, send me a message and i`ll see if i can rustle something up.
