Pom´Cannelle Colombiers Reviews
Nothing special May 19, 2012
Pom´Cannelle is a small establishment located in the harbor in Colombiers. There is not many places to choose from in this little charming town. Since we were going to the only restaurant in town for dinner I choose Pom´Cannelle for lunch. It was either this place or a snack bar next to it.
Pom´Cannelle is a small place at the dock, which serves salads, pizza, grill, pates, crepes, ice-cream and hot and cold drinks. Both with and without alcohol. They also offer take away. The indoor dining area was not very charming. The outdoor area was simple with plastic chairs and tables with paper table cloths.
Service was okay, but nothing special. The staff spoke French only, but was patient with my school French.
I had a warm goat cheese salad with honey and nuts and a chocolate and banana crepe flambéed with rum for desert. I don´t know if the crepe was flambéed, but it was definitely swimming in rum. The goat cheese salad was good, but the crepe was far from the best I have tasted.
Pom´Cannelle has a beautiful location right by Canal du Midi, but the food experience was nothing special.
