Good Polish food Feb 19, 2008
This has become our Friday “go-to” place. Sort of an old “bar mleczy” it serves traditional Polish style food at a reasonable price. Pictured you see a filet z kurczaka po wiedeńsku (chicken filet) with some carrots and peas (and some tea). But of course other Polish dishes are available too. This is the restaurant in which I discovered my taste for Gołąbki (rice with minced meat wrapped in cabbage leaves)!
This type of restaurant they call “self service” but that means something a bit different than what we think of self service in the states. All it means is you don’t have any wait staff, so you order from the main counter, pay there, and bring your dishes to the back when you are done. Definitely recommended.
