It's a new city, but with the feeling of big history behind.

The day began at around 8am when we took the coach from Czestochowa to Zakopane, this took about five hours because of the traffic but hey, we got there in the end!  We didn't have any accommodation booked so on arrival in Zakopane but had heard that there are private rooms available for rent at between 40 to 50 PLN per night.  As soon as we stepped off the coach we were swamped by hoards of locals who had spare rooms available at reasonably cheap rates.  We went for a lit…

Greek has been on my list of places to visit for as long as I remember, but I've never had the opportunity. This trip won't give me much opportunity to see the archaeological treasures that I dream of visiting, but will be a great chance to get to know Corfu, and have a few warm, sunny relaxing days away from the routine here in Warsaw. 

Early wake-up at 6am so we would make it to the train, then airport in time. Found some bread rolls to have for brunch whilst we were waiting in the boarding lounge. Finally got on the plane to leave, and were told (after being seated for 15mins) that there were problems on the runway so we would be departing an hour later than planned..
