We thought a road trip was a good idea. So it is 1000km from Riga, no big deal. On the way there we stopped for my birthday dinner in Wroclaw, Poland. August 15th is a holiday here and we have a three day weekend. It's a great chance to do some more exploring. The third day was a slow starter we stayed a long time in the hotel and used the facilities. As the pool was closed we had to enjoy the relaxing facilities of the gym!

My final day here I finally made it to the Krak Mound, which is basically a pile of dirt dating back to the 7th Century, the origin of which is unknown.  Legend is it that it is the burial site of Krakow's founder.  What it really is though is a great spot to overlook Krakow.  The walk down there was through the Jewish district, into parts I haven't yet explored, and then up the mound for a rest and a gaze of the city.  It is not a site that many venture to given the few d…
