My holidays started from a small travel to Krakow from where I had a flight. I decided to go to Tunisia with colleagues from that city. Agnieszka and Tomek are sibling. Magda is theirs friend. We met on the airport about 15.30 - 2h before planned flight.
I had to wake up early that day - at 6 o'clock. I had train at 8:15. Travel to Krakow from Wroclaw took 4.5 h. There is fast and cheap connection between main railway station in Krakow and international airport. It cost 6 PLN (3 U…

From one side of the Tatras to the other! A mini bus took us across the border to Poland, and we stayed for 2 days in Zakopane. This time we really were in a traditional house for the region, staying close to the city centre and the Tatra National Park.
We spent one day exploring the town, taste testing along the way... of course! and another visiting Morskie Oko Lake in the Tatras and Czarny Staw. On top of the mountain Alicia just happened to see Natalie Mifflin from High School - small w…

So I spent another relatively lazy day wandering around the city. I walked through old town and hit up the Wawel hill and castle. It was pretty cool. I only went through the main area of the castle and the dragon cave. The Cathedral looked like it would have been interesting, but I just wasn´t really in the mood. After that I hit up the Kazimierz area which contains the old Jewish quarter. It was pretty interesting and I love how you can just walk around t…

Once you visit Europe.... you want to come back soon!!! It did certainly happened to me.
For this trip I visited again the czech republic, hungary, slovakia and visited by fist time Poland, Berlin and Vienna. Nice countries and it is difficult to decide one particular city or country because everything was so NICE and fantastic!!
I felt in Eastern Europe like a child with a new toy looking at such wonderful places and making friends on my way!!

So many of us take face value, without debate, what we hear on the news and often regurgitate popular statements without personal and empirical experience to truly form our own opinions, and disprove false and incendiary comments only fueling stereotypes. Case for venturing out. You realize you're your own news source, reality show, and all while having a personal growth and shudder at the thought of never having ventured out! You realize a life without this experience is at best a tragedy.

We were interested to find out how much of Warsaw had been rebuilt after the second world war; to us it all looked convincingly old, with the possible exception of the city wall. It's a lovely city to walk around, and a light dusting of snow on the rooftops really added to the charm of the place.
We spent a while wandering around the narrow streets of the old town, and looking at some of the churches in the area. We also particularly enjoyed walking through some of the cities great parks, wh…
