We travel by train from Budapest to Krakow hopefully by overnight train departing on May 29th from Hungary...
Krakow was lovely...except for the rain again (brrrr). We didn't let that stop us, and thoroughly explored the old town and Wawel Hill (pronounced "vavel"). We've discovered two things we like in Poland - Pierogi & Milk Bars. Pierogi is like ravioli, except with different fillings and no tomato sauce topping. It's very good!!! Milk bars are not a bu…

When my boyfriend, Lorenzo, came to visit me to visit me to Leipzig last October we wanted to travel around for a few days. Neither had been to Poland before and on map it seemed to be close by, so we rented a car and bought a map of Poland. I though it would took us only around a few hours to drive to Wroclaw from Leipzig, because it was 324 km away, but because we took a long, slow route, it took us the entire day to reach Wroclaw. So in the end of the day we were really tired, bu…

The wrong bus
that Luke and I hopped on ended up in Oscwiecim, which was quite fortunate as
it was a place that we both had down as an essential for a trip to Europe. Better known by its German name, Auschwitz. Auschwitz is made up of three camps, of which
we saw the main two, Auschwitz and Birkenau.
Seeing the
massive military camp, semi-destroyed by the departing Nazis, was extremely
intense. We wandered through the gates inscribed with the lie "Work brings
freedom", …

THANK YOU to everyone who sends me postcards and help make my collection grow! I APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH! If you sent me a postcard and you don't see it in this blog, it means it's still on its way or I never received it because it got lost or someone stole it. Yeah, it happens.

I went to Krakow and the former concentration camp Auschwitz with a few selected students from school. It was the most impressive journey ever. The first two days we spent in Krakow, to get in touch with the city and some Polish students. On the 3th day we visited the camp, and the day before there fell loads of snow, so when we arrived at the camp it was like the snow was trying to wipe out all the things that happend. It was so impressive, I think no-one may ever forget what happened there.

A student skiing trip. They do that every year and there is people from all over Finland. Went with a cruise ship to Tallinn and from there with a bus to Slovakia. Trip takes over 30 hours and there's quite many hours sitting in the bus..
Pics might be in wrong places and dates, I don't remember anymore. Stories are short too because just can't remember everything!

After being back home for two and half weeks we headed off to London for a night before coming to the lovely Krakow. Long story short, we got upgraded to business class Melbourne to LA. They showed us up the stairs on the way onto the plane, a champagne for the both of you? Why yes i think we shall. Fully reclining seats that massage, roast duck for entree, salmon for main and a cheese platter for desert. Can't go back to cattle class after this can we? Apparentlywe can LA to London, not good…
