Trip to Gdańsk and Gdynia to see Cutty Sark Races, nowadays known as Tally Races. Then I had this "Obsessive-Compulsive 'Can't Stop Taking Churches' Photos" thing. So- a little bit of sea and churches.

Wrocław is one of the most beautiful and oldest cities in Poland, initially established on one of the islands formed by the multiple channels of the river Odra near its junction with the Ślęza, the Oława, and the Widawa. As a city of 12 islands and 112 bridges, it is known as the ‘Polish Venice’.

Snowboarding, vodka, sausage and not understanding a single word of Polish is an assured recipe for one hell of a good time!

Vilnius Weekend
There are plenty of options for weekend travels from Warsaw. This time we're heading to Lithuania. I'm excited about visiting my first ex Soviet Socialist Republic and seeing where my Aunt Elaine's family is from. I'm also interested to see how it differs from Poland as it was all once one big country, the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth formed in 1569 and lasted until 1795 (Thanks, Wikipedia!). I’ve been brushing up on my Polish literature, and I

When my boyfriend, Lorenzo, came to visit me to visit me to Leipzig last October we wanted to travel around for a few days. Neither had been to Poland before and on map it seemed to be close by, so we rented a car and bought a map of Poland. I though it would took us only around a few hours to drive to Wroclaw from Leipzig, because it was 324 km away, but because we took a long, slow route, it took us the entire day to reach Wroclaw. I went to Krakow and the former concentration camp Auschwitz with a few selected students from school. It was the most impressive journey ever. The first two days we spent in Krakow, to get in touch with the city and some Polish students. On the 3th day we visited the camp, and the day before there fell loads of snow, so when we arrived at the camp it was like the snow was trying to wipe out all the things that happend. It was so impressive, I think no-one may ever forget what happened there.
