![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Amazing Pool Area Jul 09, 2008
We stayed in one of the property's casitas twice in the last month, so this is a review of that particular type of room.
The casitas are large and have a private carport and private entry. They have lots of room and would be great for families. The downstairs had a dining table, 2 sofas, t.v., wet bar and small refrigerator with 1/2 bath. Upstairs is the main bedroom with full bath and bed. The decor in the casitas was a bit run down, with really old burgundy carpet, very outdated bathroom fixtures, and furniture in desperate need of reupholstering. I think with some simple remodeling updates, this could be a first-rate property. One of our casitas had a nice large balcony off the main bedroom, while the other had a huge sundeck right off the second floor. The sundeck had a full sized table with 4 chairs and an umbrella and 2 lounge chairs! Awesome for soaking in the Arizona sun. One casita overlooked a "private" pool, which was so much fun to step right outside and hit the water. This is a super resort for kids! The main swimming pool area is amazing! The Hole-in-the-Wall River Ranch has a huge lazy river, waterfalls, mini golf, a Western themed town and a gorgeous outdoor patio with a firepit and smores at night. If you have kids, this is a super place to stay! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Great Family get away Sep 19, 2008
We have stayed at this Hotel on 2 different times, for a total of approx 5 nights. Both times we have really had a great time. This time we stayed there and brought my parents with us, and they also really loved the resort. We got a great rate of $89/night plus $2.25/day (for weight rm, mini golf, basketball ct, and tennis ct use). This was in September which is their off season so that's the reason for the great rates. This hotel/resort has all sorts of things to do as mentioned earlier. Numerous pools, including one with a fun slide! We stayed in a King suite, which was really nice how they had a living room with a couch, TV, and mini-bar. Then the bathroom was between the living room and bedroom, very nice set up.
Our only complaints were the most recent time we stayed there our bed was broken down on one side, pretty bad. Luckily it was a king size bed, so we just snuggled a little more....:-) This is something that really isn't their fault since they would only know after we complained. Also the power seemed to have a partial outage one day, and we weren't notified about this (with it being 113 outside it was obvious fast!) so we were upset they didn't notify us at least that they were working on it and an ETA to have it fixed. It was fixed fairly fast though. And the last thing was they charged like $11/13 or so to use the internet in our room, but they did have wireless avail in the lobby's. The staff was always very nice and great to deal with. |
