Point Break Live @ Dragonfly

This "play" has been running for a few years now in various cities with its current residency held at the Dragonfly. Keanu's part is played by an audience member with the assistance of a PA feeding him direction & lines with cue cards. When you enter you have the option of purchasing a survival kit for a dollar. The kit comes with a poncho for the water/surfing scenes and some dollar bills for the bank robbery scene. Now I have to warn that this is not broadway caliber at all. The movie was bad and cheesy so you have to expect that this show is as bad and cheesy if not worst. The acting is exaggerated, dead pan, and over the top. There are some great funny moments but I don't want to give any of it way. My favorite character is Roach and the surfers. I would highly suggest investing in that survival kit because you'll get sprayed with water and fake blood. We sat in the first row off to the side and got through 90% of the show with just a little bit of water sprayed on us. Then towards the end we got soaked. It sells out pretty regularly so look into getting tickets at the beginning of the week if not earlier.
