Our first encounter with this restaurant was on the evening we arrived in Podgorica. Tired and hungry, we were in a great need of some food. As we walk towards the centrum, we came across this charming looking restaurant and dove in quickly to check what they had on menu.

At the very first glance inside, we were impressed with the size and the pleasant decor of the place - the restaurant seemed quite busy and was stretching out in all directions, including an outdoor terrace; tables and chairs were wooden with comfortable cushioning, plenty old pictures and trinkets decorating the entire restaurant giving it a welcoming vibe.

Before we even looked at the menu, we knew we wanted to eat here. When a waiter approached, we asked for a table. The waiter arrived within few seconds with a menu ready to take drinks order. The choice was easy - local beer Niksicko to soothe our thirst and try something local.

Once the vital need was catered for, we started browsing through the food menu. Choices were plenty, and as our appetite grew bigger every minute, we had to take on some advice from the waiter.

Our final order consisted of fresh veg salad, grilled potatoes, the entire plate of garden peas, grilled beef with smoked ham stuffing and grilled liver. When the food arrived, we were pleasantly shocked with the size of each portion - in overall you could have fed easily 4 people from what we ordered. And the taste - marvellous freshly charcoal-grilled food worth every penny.

The only problem was that we could not finish all our food which seemed such a waste. We knew we would be coming back here again before we leave. The hefty bill we paid for this meal in total - around €17.

We decided to return to this amazing place on our last night in Podgorica. It was much later then the first time and the restaurant was nearly full, but the waiter managed to squeeze us in without a wait.

Knowing the menu and great food quality already, the choice was much easier this time - beer was a must followed by fresh bread, a house speciality of lamb under the bell, grilled fish and a delicious dessert of cherry and apple strudels. We went smaller on our portions this time round. Unbeatable taste for a very small price again - our total bill came to barely around €22.

Visit to this restaurant for a taste of local food is a must - amazing service followed by delightful food and topped off with small prices.
