The Greatest Hostel in Mexico May 29, 2008
PocNa is the greatest hostel in all of Mexico. They have designed the place for those of us who enjoy nothing more than meeting new people and celebrating life. The bar in the back is the best place to party on the island. Everyone is excited to be alive and excited to be meeting new people. It also doesnt hurt that the ladies are extra friendly and ready to party every night. PocNa is centrally located on the island so it is a short walk away from the internet cafe, many restaurants, and the nicest beach. From beach volleyball ouall day to drinking games all night, PocNa is definetely the place to stay when on Isla Mujeres.

This place exists for one reason: hedonism. If you want peace and quiet, find somewhere else. If you want to party, book in and enjoy. The rooms are quite good - send that extra dollar for a much better sleeping experience away from the bar. They do trips and food and drink and music and it is without doubt the best place I could have visited for my last three days in Central America.
My singular most important recommendation is learn how to salsa before you get there. The new Western arrivals love a bit of salsa. The food is good, but there isn't that much of it and it is relatively expensive. The free breakfast should be viewed more as a light snack. The bar does have a wonderful range of alcopops though. Ah, the Poc Na. Good ol´ fashioned debacherous times, beautiful view, full of beautiful people lounging around in nothing more then a swimsuit. The beach bar comes alive at 11pm and doesn´t quit until everyone is drunk, happy, and the sun is up.
