Affordable central Hotel - Great location Jun 01, 2011
We booked online at www.plumapartments.com.au. Easy online booking process. Paid half duirng the booking process, and the balance on checkin. Rate was AU$108 per night, which for a 2 level one bedroom apartment with balcony, full kitchen, and full laundry facilities was a bargain.

Excellent location, less than a minutes walk to the main shopping areas.

Only downside, there is no reception so keys need to picked up at Plum Apartments Carlton, which is not that far (approx 10 mins in taxi) but still a bit of a hassle especially when arriving from the airport on the skybus, as the collins street apartments are actually closer to where the bus drops you. There is a plus side, you can get a free skybus shuttle from the bus terminal to Plum Carlton, then taxi from there to Plum Collins.

When you check out, leave the keys in a visible location. I decided to drop my keys back at Plum Carlton, but was charged $300 for lost keys, however this was rectified after a few emails and phones calls from London. So beware ....... leave the keys in the apartment after check out!

Overall a basic, but safe, convenient serviced apartment which was value for money for the location.
