Barbara (Babeci) is our tour guide today. Unfortunately she speaks German to our group. I prefer English. We are on our way to the Plitvice Lakes and passing a lot of houses which are damaged in the Second World War and also the war of the ’90s. You can see the bullet holes in the houses. We also…

Leaving Venice, the train passed through Slovenija and it was breathtaking. The scenery was like a combination of the best of Canada and New Zealand: Rolling mountains covered in pine trees pastelled with the vibrant fiery colours of autumn making the scene beyond magnificent. Just went arround Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Serbia. I just wonder how it was possible to destroy a such beautiful country! The people of the new countries are all very nice, proud and corect. There are a number of National Parks in Croatia as well. They all looked nice in the tour book, but lord am I happy we chose to go to Plitvice National Park. Technically speaking, we're in Split to write this entry, since there was no internet access at Plitivice National Park, despite the fact that there were hotels and restaurants (that did have internet for themselves). But before I start to complain about the horrible servic…
