Plaza Hotel Las Vegas

Stayed here for first trip to Las Vegas. Good hotel for the price. Paid about $30 per night which was fantastic as you do not spend much time in your hotel room in Vegas anyways! It was alittle out of the way as the rest of our party was staying directly on the strip, but being in old vegas on freemont was an awesome experience in itself. Lots to do right outside the hotel, lots to see! Room was clean, great sized and good view. The pool is nice, way up on the roof, great views again. We learned rather than using taxis down in Vegas, to use the double decker buses (aka "The Duece") for $5 you have a 24 hour bus pass to anywhere in the city. Bus drivers are friendly and don't take crap from anyone. If you need to know how to get somewhere ask them! They are very helpful. Of course Vegas in itself is a really wicked place and should be experience at least once in a lifetime! We did cirque(show was called zumanity) quite racy but very entertaining. And otherwise you get all your free entertainment just walking up and down the strip!

My husband and i went to Vegas for a fun weekend. we wanted to stay down town on the strip. neither of us had been to Vegas before so we really didn't know what old town was or the new area was. so we just found an affordable hotel and went. well i guess we should have put in a little more work and you get what you pay for. the plaza is an old hotel in old town. it is about 10 min or so away from the strip but a $20 cab ride. most of the time when we went to the strip we split a cab with other people. the room it self smelt bad and the shower pressure was so low i could barely wash my hair. they didn't have any towels in the room when we got there and it took them a good 30 min to get us some. the only thing about this room that was ok was the bed, it was fluffy although the sheets where kinda rough. i don't think i will ever go back to the plaza.
