Playa Blanca Overview

Playa Blanca is situated on the south side of Lanzarote. It started its life as a small and sleepy fishing village and with time has become the third largest tourist area on the island. It is home to some of the finest beaches on the island as well as a fantastic microclimate that delivers great weather all year round!

Playa Blanca has a wide range of hotels surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops.

The resort's star is the Marina Rubicon. The new marina at the town’s seafront is the best place to head for a local culture and life. Water sports are popular here too (windsurfing, jet skiing and water skiing). Playa Blanca offers a diving tours in the surrounding ocean.

The resort is also located close to the Papagayo Beaches where white sand and crystalline waters of Atlantic wash lap against the volcanic rocks.

From Playa Blanca it is possibile to take a ferry across to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura which takes 25 to 35 minutes, depending on which service you choose.
