Plantation Bay Resort Lapu-Lapu City

Plantation Bay is not bad value for money. Great place to take the kids. We payed USD168 per night. The extras bill was approx. USD150 per day (two pax).

The thing with this resort is that it is like being in Mongolia. You are miles away from anywhere. So if you think, getaway for the weekend and we just laze by the pool (which is huge), graze in the resorts restaurants, sleep in, etc. etc. you will be in luck. However, if you wish to explore Cebu, forget it. This place will drive you nuts. You will need a taxi to go anywhere and anyone who has been to Cebu will tell you that dealing with these guys is very difficult. Especially, when they pick you up from an expensive resort. They have flashes of riches before their very eyes. Not to mention the frustration of spending an hour in a car to get to downtown.

Back to the resort. In a snapshot, awesome pools, reasonable food (the Italian restaurant was wonderful), water slides, diving school, water sports and even an indoor shooting range for those willing to vent their 9 to 5 frustrations.
