Planet Hollywood London Reviews
Touristy and cheesy, but decent if you get a special deal! Jul 03, 2008
I put this restaurant as 'expensive' only because I had a peek at their regular menu and it solidified all the previous thoughts I'd had about PH - over-priced.
However, in our situation it was quite cheap. We had a dinner/theatre package from londontown.com which got us tickets to Spamalot (£20 value) and a two course dinner from a limited menu (pasta, chicken, ribs for entrees, and a starter or dessert). The dishes were nothing special and pasta somewhat bland but it was edible and worth every penny we paid for it (namely, £2.50, lol). Vanilla ice cream tasted a bit off, almost like marshmallow, and my grilled chicken was served with a side of what can only be described as pancake syrup.
The atmosphere would be good for people with children but not for a date, as it was very loud in there but fun. Service was very good.
I would recommend the theatre package but probably not PH as a destination in itself.
