 Kazimierz main square and home of Endzior take away Jul 16, 2008
Plac Nowy is the center of Kazimiers. You'll find the bars Endzior and Alchemia here, too. If you'd imagine the Rynek Glowny, this square is just about the opposite. It is small, a bit run down, rather quiet, and cheap. There are many bars and stalls in the neighborhood but prices aren't to be compared with those in the old town.
What's nice about Plac Nowy isn't only the square and the bars, but just as well the facades and the streets surrounding it. Take some time to stroll around, in and out the little alleys, and to take in the atmosphere and the architecture. This is a nice starting point for a walk through the Jewish quarter, as well as a nice place to go for a snack, or a party. Plac Nowy . On our way there we pass by the Temple synagogue , which we watch only from the outside. The Plac Nowy looks better now the sky is clearing up. There is a very odd atmosphere hanging around in the Jewish quarter. It is a bit dark… The Old Town and picturesque Kazimierz quarter |
