Nice pizza restaurant Apr 19, 2008
Pizza Hut.. our first place to eat in Budapest. The restaurant is quite large and with a nice interior. We sat at big, round table with a kinda horseshoe shaped sofa. They don't have any regulation when it comes to smoking, so whe we found that the non-smoking area was next to the smoking area with nothing to stop the smoke crossing into the non-smoking, we chose to sit at this cool table in the smoking section.
Our waiter knew very little English, but he tried his best. The funniest was when he was trying to translate the toppings on the pizzas. He said they were small and green and I said Peas.. he said no, and kept this going for a while. Then he drew little round things on a paper, and again we said PEAS.. he still said no, not peas. Then he went and found a picture to show us, and wouldn't you know.. PEAS. lol...
He then came with a pen and paper and asked if Gudny could write down some of the english names for them. The funny thing was that at the table just a cross from us were some American guys... and he chose to ask some people from Norway.. hahaha.
The pizza was good, and the size we ordered were good for one and 2 people.

Location; Corner of Andrassy Ut & Korut Erzsëbet

A Very Friendly Pizza Hut Apr 19, 2008
A nice clean and friendly Pizza Hut located at Andrassy Ut/Korut Erzsëbet.

Our waiter was very friendly and tried his best to explain what the toppings were on the pizza's. On one he explained small round green things and we kept on saying PEAS. He said NO and kept on drawing a lot of small round things on a paper and we said "peas". He shook his head then got a menue with pictures and showed us the little green things which where ? "peas" hahaha He started to laugh since he realized it was PEAS.

We had a great big table and enjoyed the pizza we ordered. When we all were done we asked for the bill and before we left our waiter came over with a notepad and a pen to ask me if i could write down the word PEA among some other things such as prawn and favorite Grizzly Bear food the Salmon:)

We had a good time at this place and having a friendly waiter helps :)

Eric says: Really good dessert and cake place on top of Castle Hill in Buda. Founded in 1827, it used to serve desserts for Hapsburg royalty. Its small, shaded, and cozy interior is the perfect place to relax after a hike up the hill. I sat at a small table by the counter and ordered a slice of the Ruszwurm sp...
