Pizza Hut - Krakow Reviews
Not your typical looking Pizza Hut Feb 27, 2008
Ok, so no, I’m not going to actually review the food at Pizza Hut. Either you like it or you don’t, and whether you like it or not, if you find yourself in Krakow craving some pizza, there is a Pizza Hut here and you can get your standard regular crust or pan style, plus an assortment of pastas, etc…
Also, the main dining room (upstairs) is fairly standard Pizza Hut style. Though they do have Polish movie posters (Hollywood and non-Hollywood films, but the Polish version of the posters), so I won’t really go into that.
What I like about this Pizza Hut is the exterior and downstairs. It is located on Grodzka St. and Mary Magdalene Square right across the street from Saints Peter & Paul church. They took care not to blemish the aura of the place with an intrusive Pizza Hut sign. The building in which it is located retains its façade. Then, if you are dining upstairs and decide you’d like to visit the WC, be prepared for a journey into a labyrinthine cavernous downstairs! First you go down a long staircase, then through a massive piwnica / cellar which does have tables, but aren’t used if it isn’t busy, then up another set of stairs until you reach the WC! This downstairs area is great; it has the same feel as so many of the pubs here in Krakow have, with the stone walls, the illogical layout and cool temps. Definitely not what I would have expected from a Pizza Hut.
**EDIT: as of 23 May 2008 this location has closed. They've opened a new location at Galeria Kazimierz**
