Pizza Bagus Ubud Reviews
Great break from traditional fare Jan 29, 2011
Pizza Bagus serves pizza (...doh!) and other Italian dishes. It is located just around the corner from Green Field Hotel and Tegal Sari or about 5 minute walk from the Perama bus stop.
The ARMA museum is also close by.
Pizza Bagus was nice as a break from the traditional fares we had throughout our vacation. We went there twice, once for lunch and once for dinner.
Besides the restaurant, Pizza Bagus also has a deli next door which stocks up on imported Italian goodies.
There is a connecting door between Pizza Bagus dining area and the deli.
Pizza Bagus has two separate dining areas, the main one with open windows and another glass encased one with air conditioning behind the deli.
We had pizzas for lunch in the main dining area. My boyfriend ordered the salami and pepperoni while I ordered the smoked turkey and mushroom. We also shared a bruscheta. The pizzas are 40,000 rupiah for a regular size.
For drinks, a large Bintang was 25,000 rupiah and a pineapple squash was 15,000 rupiah.
For dinner, we both had a minestrone, which is a vegetable and pasta soup which came in a large bowl and more than enough for a meal.
The minestrone was 30,000 rupiah.
They also have a gelato counter outside of the restaurant. It was a perfect dessert to end lunch especially in the Bali heat.
The service was just okay not really worth mentioning. Given the separate dining area, there should be a server standing by in both but we found no one in the air conditioned deli area. We figured it was because there were only 3 tables there.
To sum it up, Pizza Bagus is good for a nice casual meal. They also do delivery for the more lazy folks in the area.

Pizza-licious value in Ubud... Aug 23, 2011
This is an Ubud classic, and even with scores of new restaurants and pizza concerns opening in Ubud over the past few years, it's still the best Italian food around (with very reasonable prices). They have a full menu of pizzas and pastas, with genuine imported Italian ingredients (owner is Italian) and good salads/soups as well. They also offer the Indonesian basics and some other general "western food" choices, which they do well, so everyone can be satisfied here. The best part is the delivery service. Even though it takes a while to arrive sometimes, they really hook it up and will deliver to my little house in the village rice paddy/jungle area a few kilometers outside central Ubud. Much appreciated and often returned. Give it a try if you need your Italian fix in Ubud.
