we took the public bus to pisco today which was quite an interesting experience: the busterminal in lima does not feel dodgy at all, the busses are much more comfortable than for example megabus in the uk and they even had two onboard movies - what a pleasant surprise

DAY 1
So I arrived safe and sound. By the time I got here work for the day was finished so just a couple beers around the fire and then it was bed as up early... or so I thought! Turned out there was a hamburger eating contest just about to start and with my love of humburgers I couldnt resist joining in. Had a fast breakfast and loaded up on our small bus and went south of Pisco to catch a moterboat to see the Ballestas Islands, a National Reserve . On the way to the islands we went by a large figurine on the side of a hill that is so large it can be seen from 10-12 miles out to sea.
