Piqueos El Mastil
Piqueos El Mastil Guayaquil Reviews
Another spot to grab a bite - Piqueos el Mastil Jul 20, 2009
Not many restaurants - the big ones at least - were open on Monday and most of the cafes offer the same food, so it wasn't because of the menu we chose this, but because of the music they were playing. It wasn't too loud, so we could listen to each other.
The atmosphere was nice. There was a tv and they were showing a salsa video according to the music.
The boys ordered chuleta con arroz y menestras (porl chop with rice and lentils) while Cynthia and me ordered patacones with meat and patacones with cheese for me. Patacones are made of plantains.
The boys' food came quickly and we were expecting ours to come soon too, but it took a looooong time. We told the boys to start eating, otherwise their food would get cold. Anyway, after almost 1/2 hour our food arrived. We ordered something simple, but the thing is that they didn't cook it, but another restaurant, hahaha.
The waiter was kind and didn't know how to apologize for the delay, hahaha.
Anyway, there are lots of restaurant at Cerro Sta. Ana. We ended up coming here because there weren't many open. Most of the restaurants offer the same and prices are similar, so just pick up the one with the best view and atmosphere :)
